Simon Says … Not a Card featuring Lawn Fawn

Image

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge. Thank you for joining us for the Quite Quirky Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.

This week the challenge is

We are showcasing Lawn Fawn Products this week. You don’t have to use them to join in but if you have some we would love to see them used.

I love to make little favours and gifts so this challenge led me straight to my Simon Says Stamp Pillow Box Die and the Lawn fawn Sweet Strawberry Stamps, Dies and Colouring Stencils.

I started with some green cardstock then used the Simon Says Stamp Tiny Dots Stencil with green ink and die cut the Pillow Box. I die cut a window using the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Circles Dies and backed it with acetate before folding and filling the treat box.

To decorate the box I stamped the Lawn Fawn Sweet Strawberries and coloured them using the co ordinating stencil before die cutting them. I added glossy accents to the chocolate dipped part and poked a hole through the top so I could tie them to the raffia ribbon I wrapped around the box.

To finish I stamped and die cut the Sweet Birthday Wishes sentiment from Simon Says Stamp Sweet Birthday stamp and die set.

Simon Says … Quite Quirky featuring Paper Artsy

Image

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge. Thank you for joining us for the Anything Goes Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.

This week the challenge is

We are showcasing Paper Artsy Products this week. You don’t have to use them to join in but if you have some we would love to see them used.

Paper Artsy have such unique and quirky designs and I loved making this card using the JOFY Mini 72 Cling Stamp.

I stamped it twice onto white card stock and created a panel by die cutting the stamped image using Pink Fresh Studio Stitched Oval dies. The second image I coloured using Copics and then fussy cut around the flowers and popped them onto the base image with foam adhesive. I also used Distress Spritz in Tumbled Glass to add some more detail.

For my base cad is used Simon Says Stamp Mid Century Ethereal Embossing folder with Concord and 9th cardstock in Aqua Sky and Sprout (such a great combination).

Simon Says Stamp Happy Camper Release

Hey there! I’m thrilled to be sharing the news about a brand new release from Simon Says Stamp called Happy Camper. This is a gorgeous new collection of stamps, dies, embossing folders and other bits and bobs and I can’t wait to show you what I’ve made with a selection of the products from the release.

First up is this card using the cute Shoot for the Moon stamp set. I started with a top fold A2 white card base and used the A2 Rectangle Dies to cut panels for my background. The large panel I ran through the new Mid Century Ethereal Embossing Folder then blended Tumbled Glass and Broken China Distress Oxide ink onto it and added some water splatters!

I cut two smaller rectangles (one from navy blue card and one from white). I used the “smooshing” technique with Distress Oxide ink and water to create a water coloured pattern on the white panel). I stamped the images from the Shoot For the Moon set and and coloured them with Copics before fussy cutting them.

The next card also features the fabulous Mid century Ethereal Embossing Folder. This time I smooshed it once it was embossed onto a mixture of Crushed Olive and Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide ink.

I used the new Chunky Scallop Circles Dies and cut and panel from the corner of a piece of Concord and 9th Aqua Sky cardstock. I die cut some flowers from the Groovy Flowers Die Set from Sprout, Aqua Sky and Buttercup C&9th cardstock and arranged them onto the corner panel.

I finished by stamping a sentiment from the Sweet Birthday stamp set using Sprout ink.

My last card uses the same colour palette of Aqua Sky, Sprout and Buttercup with Oceanside card (Concord and 9th). Once again, I used the Mid Century Ethereal Embossing Folder in two panels and die cut the flower centres from the Groovy Flowers Dies.

I die cut the new ILYSM dies and stamped the sentiment from the the accompanying ILYSM stamp set.
