Simon Says … Something New Featuring Gina K

Image

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge. Thank you for joining us for the Add a Sentiment Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.

This week the challenge is

We are showcasing Gina K Products this week. You don’t have to use them to join in but if you have some we would love to see them used.

My something new is the Gina K Heartfelt Stencil that I used with Duo Transfer Gel and Berry Crush decofoil. I created a panel using Distress inks in Picked Raspberry and Kitsch Flamingo and adhered it it to the card front.

I then die cut two hearts from the Simon Says Stamp Basic Hearts Dies – one in vellum and one from the panel I made using the stencil.

I finished it off with a Simon Says Stamp Pretty Bow die cut and a sentiment from Altenews Mini Sentiments Embossing Folder.

Simon Says … Add a Sentiment featuring Memory Box

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge. Thank you for joining us for the Wrap it Up Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.

This week the challenge is

We are showcasing Memory Box Products this week. You don’t have to use them to join in but if you have some we would love to see them used.

I made a simple, last minute Christmas card this week using one of my favourite paper packs from this year – Jolly Christmas from Memory Box.

I started with an A2 card and cut a piece of the patterned tartan paper to size covering the front of the card.

I wanted the sentiment to be the main focus so I die cut the large Noel from Tim Holtz Big Tidings die set from the gold Simon Says Stamp Luxe Glitter cardstock (so divine)! I also ocut a couple of the sparkle dies to add a bit more balance. I cut some back foliage using the Pointy Pine Sprigs die from Simon Says Stamp and put it behind the sentiment and then popped everything onto the card front.

Simon Says … Wrap it Up featuring Paper Rose

Image

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge. Thank you for joining us for the Sparkle and Shine Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.

This week the challenge is

We are showcasing Paper Rose Products this week. You don’t have to use them to join in but if you have some we would love to see them used.

Each year I like to create personalised favours for the family for Christmas day. For this year I made these cute little boxes with chocolates from a gorgeous collection of papers called Christmas Holly Basics 6×6 from Paper Rose. I added a monogram for each of the family using Tim Holtz Alphanumeric Dies (I used Varsity which is no longer at Simon but any alphabet die set will work just as well). I added foliage die cuts using Tim Holtz Vault Festive Wreath and Vintage Sled Die sets.

To make the boxes, I trimmed each piece of paper to 6×4″ and rolled each one gluing the edges to create a cylinder. I pinched one side flat and glued the end closed using liquid adhesive ( keep some bulldog clips handy to hold the paper together as it dries). Fill the box with a treat of your choice and then seal the other end in the opposite direction to the first end – creating a triangle/pyramid type shape. Then I added the monogram die cuts to the front of the box.

The last bits are optional but I like to trim each end using pinking scissors and then use a paper crimper to add a little extra detail to the finished look.
