Clean and Simple

We are showcasing Simon Says Stamp Products this week. You don’t have to use them to join in but if you have some we would love to see them used.

I fell in love with the autumnal designs in this year’s STAMPtember release – especially these Simon Says Stamp Autumn Leaves dies and Acorn Bundle Dies, I dies cut a whole bunch of them from inky backgrounds I created as well as some patterned papers from my stash and some cardstock snippets (great for using up scraps).

I started with a panel of Distress Watercolour Cardstock and die cut a rectangle slightly smaller than A2. I smooshed some Antique Linen Distress Oxide Pad onto the panel and set aside to dry. I then sprayed a light spatter of Antique Linen Spritz. I stamped and die cut the Thank You sentiment from the Altenew Pocket Sentiments stamps and die set and arranged it with a cluster of leaves onto the card finishing off with some gems.

Get Ready For Christmas

We are showcasing Spellbinders Products this week. You don’t have to use them to join in but if you have some we would love to see them used.

Once I started die cutting my pieces for this week’s challenge I just couldn’t stop!!! I made 3 cards and still have lots of bits ready to make more! I absolutely LOVE these dies and how elements from all three sets mix and match so beautifully.

I used Spellbinders die sets – Olive Martinis, Christmas Cocktails and Boos Cocktails. All three sets are available as a bundle from Simon too HERE!!

I did all my die cutting and assembling in one go – compartmental making (as Tim Holtz would say)! Although all three cards are Christmas themed, I used elements (the Witch legs) from the Halloween set (Boos Cocktails) and the olives and glass from the Olive Martini set and gave them a holiday twist.

Each cocktail sits on a ink blended background panel created with Distress inks, stencils and spritzes and sprays – and a liberal coating of glitter too!

For the sentiments I used CZDesign Reverse Christmas Sentiment Strips

WELCOME to DAY 1 (yes, there’s another one tomorrow!) of the Sugar and Spice Release Blog Hop. You should’ve arrived from the awesome Rachel Alvarado but if you want to go to the start the full list can be found at the bottom of the post!

I’m SOOOO excited to be joining in with the celebrations over at Simon Says Stamp for the amazing Sugar and Spice Release! There are so many gorgeous, festive products available and my order is already in – didn’t want to miss out!

I made 4 cards to share for some inspiration on how you can create with some of the goodies available – 3 of them are holiday cards (my favourite season to craft!). I’ll be adding these to the #SSSSugarAndSpice Gallery HERE – why not add yours too and share your creativity to inspire!

The first two cards feature one of the new embossing folders Brilliant Ornaments which also has a co-ordinating die! Simon’s folders are so fun to work with – I absolutley love them. Both sides are equally stunning and give totally different looks. I also used the new Plaque Slides Stamps and Dies and the Charming Berry Branch (such a versatile die). I created layers using the A2 Rectangle Dies and the Scalloped Rectangle dies.

My next card is more traditional in it’s colour scheme but uses the same Charming Berry Branch and Plaque Slides for a totally different look.

My last card is a pretty in pink extravaganza featuring the beautiful Graceful Swans Stamp Set. I Also used the Pretty Bows dies and the A2 Arches Dies.
