Simon Says … Wrap it Up featuring Paper Rose

Image

Hi all and welcome to another week on the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge. Thank you for joining us for the Sparkle and Shine Challenge and we hope you will all join us again this week too.

This week the challenge is

We are showcasing Paper Rose Products this week. You don’t have to use them to join in but if you have some we would love to see them used.

Each year I like to create personalised favours for the family for Christmas day. For this year I made these cute little boxes with chocolates from a gorgeous collection of papers called Christmas Holly Basics 6×6 from Paper Rose. I added a monogram for each of the family using Tim Holtz Alphanumeric Dies (I used Varsity which is no longer at Simon but any alphabet die set will work just as well). I added foliage die cuts using Tim Holtz Vault Festive Wreath and Vintage Sled Die sets.

To make the boxes, I trimmed each piece of paper to 6×4″ and rolled each one gluing the edges to create a cylinder. I pinched one side flat and glued the end closed using liquid adhesive ( keep some bulldog clips handy to hold the paper together as it dries). Fill the box with a treat of your choice and then seal the other end in the opposite direction to the first end – creating a triangle/pyramid type shape. Then I added the monogram die cuts to the front of the box.

The last bits are optional but I like to trim each end using pinking scissors and then use a paper crimper to add a little extra detail to the finished look.

As always Simon Says Stamp will be giving away $25 voucher to shop at the fabulous Simon Says Stamp Store
