It’s a Stitch Up
We are showcasing Tim Holtz Products this week. You don’t have to use them to join in but if you have some we would love to see them used.
It’s Mother’s Day in the UK at the end of March so I thought I’d get ahead of the game. I started by stencilling the base card using The Speckles layering stencil from Tim Holtz using Tattered Rose Distress Ink. I then created a panel using the Damask 3D Texture Fades embossing folder and blended Tattered Rose and a little Worn Lipstick Oxide inks over it. I LOVE this effect. I roughed up the edges using a Distressor tool and then used my sewing machine to add a stitched border around the panel.
I used the Tim Holtz BIGZ Heartfelt die to cut a piece of corrugated cardboard and swiped some Spun Sugar Oxide Ink over it before adding Rock Candy Distress Glitter around the edge. I added Alcohol Inks to some Tim Holtz Ideaology Bouquet stems and glued them on to the edge of the heart and adhered it to the card.
I used a Sizzix All Occasions Thinlet set for my Mother’s Day die cut sentiment – something similar is available HERE.
