Ellen Hutson Winter Release

Hey there!  I am so thrilled to be sharing a card with you today featuring some gorgeous products from the latest Essentials By Ellen Winter release.  There is such a great variety of products in this release, and I’ve had so much fun playing with them over the last couple of weeks.

The card I’m sharing today uses stamps from two different EBE sets – Cup of Cheer and Sending Holiday Cheer.  I also used the Pinkfresh Studios Diamonds Hot Foil Plate to add some shimmery detail to the background.

I started by stamping the elements I wanted for my card from the Cup of Cheer set in black pigment ink ( Versafine clair Nocturne) onto some watercolour cardstock.  I heat embossed the images with Ranger clear embossing powder and then used Zig Clean Colour Brush Markers to add a wash of colour to the images.

As they were set aside to dry I stamped the large Sending Holiday Cheer stamp in Versamark ink and heat embossed it in Ranger Gold embossing powder onto a strip of white cardstock.  I trimmed it down and turned it into a flag shape by cutting a “V” into one end.

For some additional sparkle I decided to layer the sentiment and stamped images onto a foiled panel using the PinkFresh Studios Diamond Hot Foil plate.  I used Spellbinders gold foil and probably slightly over-foiled it as the lines of the foiled image are a little rough rather than perfectly clean and smooth.  I decided I actually quite liked it for this card so chose not to re-do it!

I die cut the panel down using a pierced rectangle die and arranged the stamped images and sentiment onto the foiled panel using liquid adhesive and some foam tape for dimension.

I chose to place the panel onto a white A2 landscape card base but wanted a little more interest in the background.  I splattered a little Irresistible Gold Texture Spray onto the card base and once dry dded the assembled panel onto the front using foam tape.

For a final little flourish I added some extra embellishment using the EBE Colored Lights Droplets to tie in with the colours I used on the festive glassware.
