I’m so excited by the brand new release from Simon Says Stamp called The Colour of Fun. How can you be totally inspired by that colour palette – it’s just so scrummy! I can’t wait to collect all of those new inks but in the meantime I have been having a wee play with some of the other new products in this release. My first card features an AMAZING die – I just LOVE it. I die cut the circle sentiment and cupcake from white card and popped out the frosting part of the cake and scribbled some RV81 (Rose pink) Copic marker over it (just roughly, I didn’t want it to be too smooth. I coated it in Glossy Accents and then sprinkled some distress glitter on the top. I used a panel of patterned paper from the Sorbet collection from Avery Elle and mounted it all onto an Avery Elle notecard.
My next card is a clean and simple one layer card using the Many Thanks stamp set and the Big Scripty Greetings set. There is a design for everyone in this release – I have so much on my wish list!!
If you haven’t already been there – head over to the Simon Says Stamp blog where you find the beginning of an amazing blog hop. I’ve just been and I am blown away by the inspiration!
I am in love with your card with the pink cupcake. I was wondering if you could tell me the color of the pink copic marker that you used. thanks so much
Hi Katrine, thank you for your sweet comment, I used the R81 Copic (Rose Pink).
thank you so much for answering me. I love the color and I love the texture that you gave it. the glossy accents with the glitter was a genius idea. recently I have been in search of the ultimate mint color. lol. my niece wants to change her bedroom to that color. I took her a bunch of samples. the one she chose was white embossing paste mixed with distress cracked pistachio ink and sprinkled with the same glitter that you used. there is something wonderful about the texture that that creates. thanks again, Treen
Pretty cards!

Two precious cards. Isn’t the new release fun and so summery. The new ink colors are to die for. YUMMY!
The pastel colors you’ve used in both cards are lovely. Fantastic cards!
