Casing Elena – again!

I’m loving this month’s muse over at Case Study Challenge – the very sweet Elena Roussakis. This week’s card made me think of cosy, home-spun styles so I went with a rustic feel with my Christmas card.

case study stocking (1)I was drawn to the wood background, the twine, the pop of red gingham and that tiny wee heart poking out!  As I received my latest package from Simon Says Stamp today I couldn’t wait to rip into the new products and have a play!  Actually, as Simon’s Wednesday Challenge this week is “Christmas” I’m sharing this over there too!

Here’s Elena’s gorgeous card:

Well, thanks for calling by.  Have a great weekend whatever you’re up to!

  5. Wow, Caryn, I’m completely in love with your card…it’s just gorgeous. And I love the detail you place in the backdrop of you photos. Such attention to detail. Fabulous! 🙂 xx

Oh how I love the homespun look of this!!! Can I ask how you used this SSS heart die plate? I used it the other day and the plate left an impression in my paper.

    • Caryn Davies says:

Ahh, it did that to mine too Amy – hence why I then ran it through with an impression plate! It had started as an entirely different card! I was going to do a google as I often get little bumps on my die-cuts where the holes are. Do you have a big shot – maybe there’s a way of making them liss “tight”!
Sorry I couldn’t be more help!
