Hello all – popping in to share my card for the latest 10 Minute Craft Dash Challenge. We have a somewhat Halloweeny colour scheme going on this time but I’ve gone all Christmassey with it!
There is a great prize on offer this time too – a $20 gift certificate from Avery Elle – yumm!
Now where is this cute little fella from I here you ask! Well, he features in a new stamp set called Let It Snow from Clearly Besotted Stamps’ October release which will be available at midnight on 6th – make sure you stay up, lol!!
I have been loving the latest resurgence of stencil paste that has been showing up all over blogland. Debby (Lime Doodle) has made some gorgeous cards recently with lovely textured backgrounds. Now I knew I had a few tubs of the stuff somewhere buried in my stash – I had a real obsession with it a few years ago. To my delight I found it and it was as fresh as a daisy! I picked up a few stencils at the craft fair on Saturday too so thought the polka dot one would make a perfect snowy background for this cute little penguin! I think I’ll be making quite a few of my cards with him this year – he’s adorable!
Thanks for dropping in on me – I hope you you get a chance to play along with the challenge – it’ll be great to see you!
Hugs,
Caryn xxx
I ADORE this cute card, Caryn! That glittery embossed background is so perfect- it reminds me of pretty snow! I, too, have noticed that Debby has been using this product often and am so tempted to buy some. Now that I know I can also use it with glitter, I’m even more tempted! 🙂 Great job on this one, sweet friend!
This is fabulous, Caryn! I love that penguin and your background looks wonderful!
I’ve put some of that dimensional paste in my cart after seeing Debby use it recently. I had tried making my own homemade version, but I wasn’t happy with it.
Gorgeous card Caryn, isn’t that little guy just too cute! Love the embossing paste with he glitter – oh my you are rocking that stuff! Must get me some! lol xx
Too cute! TFS.
Beautiful card. love the polka dots with texture. Now I really need some embossing paste
Fabulous card, Caryn. That little penguin is a real cutie. I’ve got some embossing paste but only ever used it by adding coloured glitter afterwards. This is a great effect which I must now try thanks to you and Debby 🙂 xx
I adore your Christmas card with these colors! This penguin is darling and I love how your paste is all glittery. I must get some of that stuff…between Debby and now you I know that it is “a must have”.
I think you’ll find that once you start with that stuff – you won’t be able to stop!! It’s so much fun!! Thanks for popping in xxx

Lol, I remember it was HUGE a few years ago – I used it on everything!! It seems so fresh now though, doesn’t it?! I think Debby has a lot to do with it’s re-appearance – the little trendsetter that she is 😉
You guys are too kind! I was obviously off trend a few years back as I’d never used it until recently LOL.
